The history of the Gulfstream 150 (or G-130) starts with Aero Commander's Jet Commander from the early 1960s. North American Rockwell acquired the CJ-610 powered Jet Commander but quickly sold the design and production rights to Israel Aircraft Industries. The G-150 is quickly became a favorite in the mid-sized jet market. With the longest range at the fastest speed, an advanced avionics suite, and the most comfortable cabin, the G-150 often provides the most value in its class
